Ariel Nassim ’08 has always had a love for sports. Though he never made it as a professional athlete, he still found his way to Tokyo this summer for the 2020 Olympics as a doctor of internal medicine and sports medicine for Team USA.

As a captain point guard for his junior varsity basketball team at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway, Ariel Nassim led the Hawks to a championship about two decades ago.

When American athletes gather in Tokyo for a Summer Olympics like none before, they’ll be joined by seven physicians, among them, a specialist in internal and sports medicine from Great Neck.

Dr. Ariel Nassim, D.O. is a Sports Medicine physician at Nassim Medical in New York. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel. 

Dr. Nassim’s experience in evidence-based medicine and the latest nonoperative orthopedic/musculoskeletal care of athletes has enabled him to care for athletes of all ages and skill levels, from high school students to professional athletes.
